Our first Millwood District Development meeting was held last week on Tuesday and it was a great opportunity to hear ideas, concerns, suggestions, etc. from property owners, new businesses, city officials, resources such as the Library, Avista, and Greater Spokane; with everyone desiring to see a thriving business district in Millwood. However, we all did MISS YOU!!
Our next meeting
with Alexander Scott, GSI Facilitator, will be late April. In the interim
we will hold our monthly Millwood Better for Business meeting to review the discussion and next steps with our business
group on

and provide your input for this initiative. An update on the progress of
city projects will also be provided (including railroad ROW parking, city park
parking, signage, walk/bike path and Argonne/Euclid left-turn lanes). As
you can see, there is a lot of momentum and YOUR input, thoughts and energy are
needed to keep us moving in the right direction!
We will of course be
planning for Millwood Daze coming up quickly in August! We are
fortunate to have a festival already within our city that brings attention and
visitors to Millwood. This is one more thing to celebrate and use to show
off Millwood advantages!
